Rest of May

It's been a wet May; lots of rain, lots of mud; not much farming going on. As Carter and the other kids found when we went to the Campground for the first time last weekend.
I don't think we'll be back there until it dries out a little bit and the mosquitos calm down a little. Luckily all the kids cleaned up pretty good, can't say anything about any mud that got into grandma's camper though.

We also rode our bikes to New Bavaria and back to play at the park. Ethan was very proud he rode his bike 5 miles round trip and we managed to get rained on. gggrrrrrr. I bet though all the farmers that are getting everything planted this weekend are going to start to complain in less than a month that they want some rain; isn't that always the way things work?

Visiting Henry (and Maggie, Chris and Corbyn)

I had a few days off work in May and since there was a new baby around the 2 little kids and I drove up to meet baby Henry. I knew Hannah was the mother hen but I was surprised how interested Carter was in the baby (Ethan never seemed to care much about babies after he met them).

Hannah "helping" by feeding Henry every chance someone would let her

We did go shopping awhile in Mt Pleasant and found a park with swings and slides so the kids could run around (and it was raining back home so we had to brag a little to daddy that we could go outside!). Also it appears that a dog is not in our future (like Kevin or I would ever want one anyway) as Carter was terrified of the big dog (he was getting better by the end but he still had quite a bit of anxiety) and Hannah seemed to be allergic to the dog (thanks for passing that down daddy!).

Thanks for having us a few days and can't wait to play with Henry again!!!

May Field Trip

Kindergarden goofy face photo
All the kindergardeners in Ethan's class at the Ft Wayne zoo mid May. It ended up being a nice day even between big rain showers. All the kids had a good time.

Ethan and Micah really liked combing the goats

There was a white peacock in the kangaroo area showing off for us also
