Skiing at Mad River with Ethan

We had been talking about taking Ethan skiing for awhile now and finally decided to take him last weekend. the weather was actually nice and sunny. Uncle Mark met us in Bellfountain for the day. Ethan loved skiing and was getting pretty good by the end of the day. The best was the whole time he kept saying skiing is awesome. He is the kid with the orange hat and blue coat going down the hill.
Making a pretty good pie and he was getting pretty good at stopping. Still had some problems controlling his speed and avoiding others skiers that had fallen, but he's getting better.

Going down with the instructor during his class- you can see the new bunny hill lift to the left- it was called the carpet and you just stand there until you get to the top. MUCH better than the old rope pulls from our childhood days that ruined your gloves.

And a picture of Ethan at the top of the big hill. after his lesson he wanted to ride the big lift to the top. With daddy and Uncle Mark on either side and mommy behind to pick him up if he fell, he did pretty good and skied a long time without wanting to stop. I think we were all more tired from helping him around than he was of skiing!!

Zoo adventure

They are so cute when they actually get along!
Getting eaten by the giant dinosaur head at the zoo

We went to the lights before christmas at the zoo the week after christmas- a much better time to go because without Santa there the crowds were much less. We got there early and saw the animals moving around before it got too dark- plus it was a balmy 30degrees out- Carter loved it all and just sat in the stroller being pushed around- mainly because he was so bundled up he really couldn't move.

The kids checking out the dinosaur head- they both liked that more than the model trains.

Christmas Break

Then we stopped at Toys R Us and Carter found a MiniCooper he wanted. Too bad dad said no. After that we went to see the Zoo lights and out to eat at Pizza Hut(Ethan's choice for his birthday) More pictures to follow when the internet connect improves!!
We did take a day to go to Build A Bear in Toledo- the kids made a bear for Carter (we all have bears in the family now) and they each picked out a new outfit for the Dog and Cat they already had at home- here they are giving Carter's Bear a bath

And Ethan seems to live for Super Mario since he got it for Christmas. He and daddy already beat the game. He reminds me of Uncle Mark and his Gameboy Mario. Too bad Ethan couldn't be good at dinner last night or in church today and got himself a week without Mario.

Hannah trying out her Dora Fit game she got and loves to play her "Dora Wii". Luckily it's easy enough she can do the game herself and lucky for us she gets bored very quickly.
