Here is the Birthday Boy thinking about eating his cake- Grandpa was trying to convince him to pick it up and eat it, but Ethan wasn't buying it :) He wanted nothing to do with touching the cake, so he wasn't a very exciting birthday boy!! Now the big boy is one and is getting better and better at walking all the time. It's hard to believe how fast the year has gone!

Brian is holding both Micah(his son) and Ethan- they both loved his Realtor pens and his 'palm pilot' (his little notebook)
All of the Grandkids playing operation....
Here's Ethan getting ready to open his presents at Grandma Fritz's on Christmas Eve.
Ethan taking a break after a day of hard work, or in his case, playing and getting into things...
Mommy and Ethan at the Stevenson family Christmas....
Here is our most recent family picture, taken at my Aunt Sue's

Here is our blue boy trying on Daddy's hat to keep his head warm in our cold kitchen.Mindy really wanted a good christmas picture of Ethan for his first Christmas.
But getting Ethan to pose is not as easy as it sounds. Ethan at Alison and Nacho house, after his long drive down to Indy to see his new cousin. He was pretty worn out, but that did not keep him from staying up until midnight.

Here is Ethan with Grandma and Grandpa Stevenson and his new baby cousin, Miguel, who was born December 1- he was a month early, but is doing very well and will be home for Christmas now!!

Here is Miguel still in the hospital- just one day old.

Here is Ethan Practicing his drinking out of a glass skill- he presses the glass so hard around his face he'll leave a ring- it's pretty funny and a dead givaway that he's found one of Kevin's glasses sitting on the floor. The other picture is Ethan and I showing off our tongues, as he loves to do often, no matter where we are.

Here is Ethan and Kevin playing Ethan's favorite game- Peek-a-Boo- he's so cute when he pulls the blanket over his head and starts laughing when he pulls it down to see you :)
Halloween at the Fritz's- this is at Kevin's parents house- Ethan is on the left with his cousin Jordan holding him. Micah(the other dalmation) and Elijah are the two on the right. Kevin's dad is in the background.
Here is Ethan showing off his new skill of walking behind the mower- he loves walking around the house :)
This is Ethan going to the babysitter's- He tends to be a grouch around nap and bedtime, otherwise he's a great baby!
Here are the two dalmations again- Micah on the left and little Ethan on the right. Micah being 4 months older than Ethan, he tends to do a little bullying at times!

Here is everyone canning the apple butter when it was done- we had plenty for everyone!
Here's Ethan and Grandma Sharelle trying to keep warm around the apple butter kettle.
Here's Ethan's plug for Sterling's coffee- too bad the cup was empty, although I think he had enough energy without the caffeine!
Applebutter making today at the log cabin. Every year Kevin's Aunt Florence has family and friends over to her log cabin and they make apple butter. Today was the perfect day- not too cool and no rain. Here's Ethan trying to stand in the chair and you can see the copper kettle with the apple butter cooking in the background.
We've had a very busy couple of weeks. Kevin has been working long hours farming (but they should be finishing today) and Ethan and I have had a lot of free time, as I have just finished a forensic pathology rotation in Toledo, which I really enjoyed. Anyway, here is Ethan with his train that Terry (who we make applebutter with every year) made for him. Ethan really likes anything with wheels that he can drive around the floor, he is definately all boy...
This is the Leap Frog table we found him at a garage sale a couple weeks ago and he loves it. I wish we could show video here because all the buttons play music and he stands there and dances to the music- we could sit there and watch him all night!

Baby Shower Today- Ethan and I went to my friend Becky's baby shower- he was the only boy in with all those girls, but at least he found a friend in Natalie, who is just one month older than Ethan. They did more stealing toys from one another than actually playing, but that's what 9 and 10-month olds are supposed to do......
Here is Ethan under his Bug Excersaucer, instead of in it- he crawled under there when I was in the kitchen and couldn't get back out because he kept hitting his head- some kids are too cute!
Ethan decided to wear his cookie instead of eat it- he was having so much fun playing with his food- who can stop a nine-month old from having fun?
Here's Ethan and I sitting in the shallow end of our pond- and you can see in the background it's almost full- the rain the middle of September got us started pumping water from the ditch across the road and quickly filled the pond- if only we had gotten that rain back in June before the hot weather....

Here's Ethan a couple days later swimming in the pond- he was the first one to go swimming(and now it's too cold so he might be the only one this year)... hopefully we'll have a warm summer next year so we can use the pond a lot!

Here is Ethan playing with Millie, our cat. He sees her and starts squealing and jumping up and down and tries to "pet" her by grabbing handfuls of hair. Needless to say, the easiest way to get Millie out of the house is send Ethan her way. She's more than happy to leave then.

Here is Ethan at his cousin Micah's first birthday party. Micah got a toy Gator for his birthday and both the boys thought it was pretty neat and enjoyed playing on it.

This is my first post on the Blog. I got the idea from my friend Kristy, who has tons of pictures of her boys on a blog, and it's a great way to keep in touch and see how they are growing. So I thought I would try, and maybe can recruit Kevin to help upload pictures since we have slow internet at home. Ethan is 9 months old now, and where did the time go? He's crawling now and standing by himself for a few seconds before falling to the ground. He walks along furniture and gets into everything. The house is semi-babyproofed, at least the rooms where we live are, although last week he found out how to make the swinging door work going into the dining room, which is off limits due to construction right now, so we have to keep him from going in there.
