Disney Day 1

We spent Day 1 at Animal Kingdom and Epcot- waiting for Epcot fireworks at the end of the day

Ethan loved the nice slow Earth ride

And was a little scared about the Mt Everest rollar coaster- he didn't ride another big one the rest of the trip

Ethan on the ride- the G forces were pushing him in the corner and he didn't really like that :)

Meeting the characters

Carter eating breakfast at the hotel

We stayed at the All Star Sports resort- obviously a sports theme and this was the tennis courtyard area

Hannah did not want to get her picture taken with Mickey Mouse- she was ready to eat!!

Carter in the hotel ready to leave for the day!!

Airplane ride

We left for Florida Friday after Ethan got off the bus from school (and the bus forgot to drop him off so we had to chase down the bus so we weren't late for the plane). That was the worst thing that happened on vacation.

The iPad was dead so this was how cooperative Carter was on the plane. It was a long 2 hour ride.

Ethan was very excited to go to Disney

And Hannah had her sunglasses on ready to see the Florida sun - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

Marathon

The real reason for our trip to Disney world (and the reason to pull the kids out of school for a week).... The Disney Marathon! What is more fun than getting up at 3am to run 26.2 miles with 20,000+ of your closest friends?

The finish line, you start and end at Epcot

Run around epcot and to the finish

Here all the kids found us after we finished and converged to see what snacks we had gotten (and to check out the medals)

I finished just over 4:02, not bad for a first marathon. (brother in law Tim finished just over 4:00) I'm already trying to plan where the next race will be.

Christmas morning

Carter was getting into opening presents by the end.

Ethan knew what to do.

Carter trying to see if there were anymore presents under the tree.

Hannah finally got her jewelry box, and it was Olivia!!

Her Rapunzel doll the plays music when she waves the wand over the front of her dress.

This is how carter woke up... Not ready to open presents. Didn't take him long to figure out what was going on though.

The 2 older ones ready to open!!

Christmas eve

The best Carter would cooperate.

Ethan being goofy.

Hannah of course was good the whole time patiently waiting for her brothers to stop being so silly.

We opened 2 presents Christmas eve, PJs for everyone and new Christmas ornaments. Ethan got a skier ornament and dinosaur PJs.

Hannah got a Rapunzel ornament and Hello Kitty PJs

Carter got Curious George ornament and Elmo PJs

Santa and reindeer

All the kids were really excited to see Santa and sat right on his lap, but then were all shy and couldn't think of much to ask for Christmas. Good thing Santa came through anyway and brought them everything they wanted.

We saw Santa at St Augustine's Christmas house this year. It was amazing how much Santa knew about us! Like he has a spy!

And Santa brought one of his reindeer with him and the kids got to pet him also, carter on the other hand didn't think much of the reindeer.

Hannah and Carter

Hannah and Carter do a pretty good job of getting along, she reads books to him

He uses his power tools to try to fix Hannah's book

And as long as they aren't fighting over the iPad they will just sit and watch movies together.

Christmas photo

We had a less than cooperative 2 year old trying to get a photo taken, therefor no Christmas cards this Ayer (and I just plain ran out of time)

Here are 2 of the 3 with smiles

Ethan was trying to pay attention to carter

And probably my favorite because Hannah is trying to pose and be so pretty

Thanksgiving Weekend

With a nice warm day, we headed to the zoo Friday night (along with 10,000 other people); Carter pointing out the elephants to us
We actually went back into the theatre where Santa was- there was no line to see him; so the kids were able to get their requests in early this year. (we couldn't take pictures with Santa though, so you'll have to use your imagination)
Carter and Hannah with Raggedy Ann
Hannah hatching in the kids play area
 And Carter hatching
 3 busy bees working
Or posing for pictures; we had a nice weekend hanging around home and have decided with all the rain we've had this week Kevin won't be farming again until we're in Florida in January!!
