After church Sunday (in the dark, no power there either) we headed to Kim and Tim's- who never lost power and had AC- Ethan was very curious about the whole power thing- what happened (the wind took the power) and what still works (train table) and what doesn't (one flush for the toilet before we had to get pond water) he was very excited to see power in the fridge when we got home tonight, even though our milk is at Grandma's until we get back over there- 48 hrs is a long time with no power in 90+ degree heat- just a shower is wonderful :)

But by Saturday afternoon, we (and the whole towns of Holgate, Hamler and New Bavaria) still had no power and we heard probably wouldn't until Sunday so we loaded up our freezer and headed to Grandma's to take showers

almost all the way under- the power went out 10 minutes before the storm hit friday night and after it blew through, we only had a few limbs down, but still no power..... the shop and log cabin and G&G by the shop had a little more wind damage...

But Hannah, at only 5 months, knew better- she tried to hide under the couch but didn't want to miss anything so she wouldn't put her head down

Daddy and Ethan not too concerned initially

then daddy came home from work and said we were crazy- so we headed inside and made pizza for supper and then learned on tv there was a strong storm/ tornado warning headed our way

It's not windy mommy, it's fun!!!

Hannah was not quite as excited, she slept

the start of the weekend was great- mom got off early, and with it being 90 degrees Ethan wanted to go swimming- there were 40 mph winds, so you could see the whitecaps on the pond, but Ethan had fun...
